These after-school education centres in the villages provide the poorest children with the opportunity to get support with their homework and to receive some basic supplies like good quality school bags. This is particularly important for children of illiterate parents as without support with their homework they fall behind at school and become disengaged with their learning.

Each woman we train in tailoring and provide with a sewing machine sees her income lifted three-fold and secures her independent, secure and sustainable work, free from exploitation. This permanently changes the lives and hopes of her and her children. We also organise self-help groups to encourage the women to support each other.
