Volunteer in India on one of our safe, sustainable, and worthwhile projects and help make a difference in local communities. As a volunteer, you’ll work towards long-term goals to address needs identified by local community members. This is a chance to give your time and energy where it’s needed most and become part of an extraordinary global network. We offer a diverse range of volunteer abroad opportunities, so you can do something you’re really passionate about. This includes activities like improving early childhood development for young children, awareness programs for adolescent girl, cow rearing projects, alternative livelihood for charcoal burner and other various projects.
The work you do will help support a community in need. In the process, you’ll also learn and grow as a person. Our volunteer abroad opportunities are also a chance for you to add practical skills and experience to your CV. You’ll immerse yourself in the Indian culture, living and working with the friendly local community. During your time abroad, you’ll receive 24/7 support from Institute for social awareness and rural development staff. India is home to some incredible natural and cultural wonders. Whether you’re interested in seeing historic places, trekking through lush greenery, or visiting historic temples in your free time, India has it all!
You’ll get to know a completely different facet of travelling, something you wouldn’t be able to experience as a tourist. Step out of your comfort zone and discover what you’re truly capable of by volunteering India  
Many people, young and old, have come out to South India, singly or in groups, to join us from a few days to a few months. They help with the work among our poor women and children. They have contributed a great deal and in the process have come back informed, excited and having had lots of fun. Many want to go again. Volunteers pay for their travel to Madurai airport or to Dindigul Junction train station and the Indian team meet them and look after them from then on. Basic hotel accommodation can all be arranged, and friendships are soon made. Volunteers have done many different things, so if you feel you could help please contact us and find out more.
